PAT’S CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 28, 2016 at the Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, IL. Burial will follow in the Oblong Cemetery.
VISITATION will be from Noon to 2:00 P.M. Friday October 28, 2016 at the funeral home.

Patricia Ann “Pat” Bomer, 84, Oblong, IL went to be with her lord and savior on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 5:19 A.M. E.T. at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.
Pat was born on February 11, 1932 in Robinson, IL. She was the daughter of Jesse L. Bomer and Georgia Blanche McGovern Bomer.
Pat started working at the Highway Café in Oblong in 1954 as a dishwasher. Pat worked at the café for over 50 years becoming the cook and was known as the “Pie Lady.” She was a member of the Oblong High School Class of 1952 and was also a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church of Oblong. Pat loved gardening, crocheting and her cats. Pat was well known for her cooking and baking.
Pat is survived by one sister Linda Rowe, Mascoutah, IL; two sisters-in-law Opal Bomer, Morton, IL, and Beverly Bomer, Robinson, IL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Pat in death were her parents; three brothers William, Roger, and Robert Bomer, and one sister Bernice Bradbury.
